HTP is the sole UK manufacturer of a range of award-winning reference leak products using a patented design.


Reference leaks are generally based on the gas Helium as the leak trace medium.
The leak element in HTP's products consists of a stainless-steel sinter contained in a stainless-steel body with the following key features...

    - Can operate at high pressure differentials
    - Has a fast response and recovery time
    - Has a low temperature coefficient
    - Bakeable to high temperatures
    - Will operate for all gases including gas mixes.


A special range of reference leaks is available for refrigerants and fire extinguishing gases.
Reference leaks can also be made fully 'bespoke' for a specific application to a user's specification. With a huge range of manufacturing options HTP can manufacture a special reference leak to match the user's conditions given the following information

    - Calibration Gas (E.G. Helium, Krypton, 5% Hydrogen / 95% Nitrogen etc.)
    - Pressure differential across the leak (E.G. 1 bar g Upstream x 0.1 mbar abs Downstream)


The whole range of reference leaks is supplied with a full Certificate of Calibration with Traceability to Nationals Standards.
It is recommended for all certificated reference leak products to be returned to HTP on an annual basis to be checked, recalibrated and issued with new certification.
